La Illah

There is no one worthy of worship except Allah. However, since ancient times, humans have indeed worshipped Allah, but have not truly performed His actual worship. Practices like rituals or giving charity in the name of Allah have been regarded as worship by people. Yet, real worship is to genuinely follow Allah’s commandments with a willing heart.

In every era, a few powerful individuals collude among themselves and use Allah’s creation for their own interests. Because all the powerful are united, the less privileged do not get justice and are forced to submit. Gradually, their minds become conditioned to servitude.

This has happened in every era, and it is still happening today—whether it is our feudal system, the rule of landlords, capitalists, industrialists, or politicians’ conspiracies. Whether it is bureaucracy or politicians, all of them unite and become wealthier and wealthier, while the other class is pushed deeper into poverty through their servitude.

The group that lies between these two classes becomes opportunistic, like Haman, seeking only their own interests. Occasionally, someone from among them follows the prophets’ example and raises their voice for justice, but then all the powerful join forces to suppress that voice. That person is crushed so severely that no one dares try again in the future.

Man in today’s era is aware but lacks courage. He knows that raising a voice for the truth and walking the path of justice is very difficult. Even if he tries, the first target becomes his own family. We are not as strong and courageous as Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to put his children through hardship for the sake of truth. We can bear suffering ourselves, but we cannot bear to see our loved ones in pain.

And this is our weakness—we are unable to follow in their footsteps, even if we want to. Allah’s prophets, messengers, and their companions only established the true religion after making many sacrifices.

May Allah have mercy on us and grant us the courage and strength to raise our voices against this oppression. If we consider ourselves Muslims and believers, then we should dedicate our worship to Allah alone. If we are to fear anyone, it should be only Allah.

Stand up for the truth!
